WiFi, WiMAX to drive wireless capital expenditures to $29.3 billion by 2008, says TIA

In 2005, the Wi-Fi infrastructure revenue is expected to reach $5.2 billion, while the WiMAX infrastructure revenue is expected to reach $115 million, according to the Telecommunications Industry Association's 2005 Telecommunications Market Review and Forecast.

The report expects revenue from spending on wireless capital expenditures to reach $22.3 billion in 2005 and climb to $29.3 billion by 2008, a 7.1 percent annual gain.
